Yes! About to put them in CP and finish their QT process in about 2-4 weeks. Then into the DT!

Well truly feel like a moron right now. I always research everything, just tons of research on literally every choice I make for my tank. I didn't do that this time like an idiot. Someone posted on another forum that Ritteri Anemone's don't host Maroons. I knew that Ritteri's hosted a ton of clowns and that Maroons host almost everything, so I assumed Ritteri was on that list. Yep I was wrong. Soon as they posted that, I did my research to find out they were completely correct.
Its possible to have it host, but its also quite possible and even probable that the Ritteri will turn around and eat them. I'd rather not give it a $400 prized meal.
I'm at a loss right now of what to do. Thankfully the guy I'm dealing with for the Maroons is possibly going to let me change my order to something else. Problem is, is all he has is rare/designer clowns. Which isn't suprising considering he breeds the Lightnings. He has a pair of Bali Picasso and Onyx Picasso bonded for like 6 months, would be basically a wash in price, expensive rare perc's. Aren't bad looking fish at all, but no comparison to the Lightnings.
No clue what to do. Got to take some time to figure this out. Definitely learning a hard lesson right now.
Oh and getting rid of the Ritteri is not an option. I drove 7 hour round trip and paid a pretty penny for it. To much work involved in it to sell it now.

Just my two cents.
I think a good choice would be not getting the maroons simply because they are too aggressive for pretty much any anemones. They never leave the nems alone, always inside wiggling back and forth.....the nems eventually not eating and start to died off...trust me I've been there and seen that.
Perc clowns are more gentle and some do take the food and feed to the nems however never seen maroons do that to their host. My suggestion is to take that pair of rare designer clowns and you will be much happier in the end.
Here is a pair of my Bali snow onyx clowns just to enhance your taste and perhaps you will take my words lol

Good advice. It's probably what I'll end up doing. Just don't know yet. I'm aggravated right now and not thinking clearly.

Yes, CP was started Saturday. I'm not actually doing 30 days though. I'll be doing 10-11. I have research behind this line of thinking. So they will be going in DT soon.

My fish look healthy but I'm gonna let it go fallow just to be sure. I've never tried to keep one completely free kf parasites. After reading humblefish's threads I'm gonna try it. So going fallow since they were already in there. Have you noticed any differences in them since starting CP? Beautiful fish.

Nope, no differences, they are pigs. I believe I got great healthy specimens so it really is helping alot. In all honesty this treatment is not needed, but I'm to paranoid to not do it. I lost my entire last tank to Marine Velvet, which is what prompted the upgrade.
Nice to see another local reefer with some skills.... sweet build sirs!
