I am setting up a reef with my dad. I feel like I should have a bigger showfish. It is this or a tang. its a 48" by 15" by 20". any ideas are welcome! thanks in advance!

I would strongly discourage a tang. A pygmy or cherub dwarf angel would be my advice.
thanks for the advice! it is down to a pair of angels, lemonpeel or flame. but maybe a cherub with the one chosen

The flame angel fish is bright, beautiful but very expensive (here in the UK anyway). The Eibli is superficially a much drabber fish, but has beautiful markings … and is much cheaper here.

Flame angel or tomini tang are real pretty. Just make sure the tank has a lot of caves and crevice's. If you go flame angel make sure your coral has had time to grow out a bit as he may find some tasty.

A Flame angel and Tomini tang will do well . I had these in a 50 gallon cube with no issue along with 4 other fish. Provide good water quality for sure

This would be my pick.
I love my little show stopper

Also look at the Flameback angel. There are 2 different varieties. I believe the Brazilian version has the stronger color pattern.

Good lil community fish - very brightly colored.

Thank you all for the advice. I live in the UK and Flame Angels are expensive as heck, so any opinions on a lemonpeel angel

Ok any other suggestions?
Coral beauty and flame are the commonly kept dwarf angels. They are usually pretty well behaved. Lemon peel, Eiblii, half black are the most infamous for eating corals. There are probably others in each category.

Selecting one depends on what you like, and what you have available. Can you get coral beauties easily and cheaply?

May be able to get a flame if I save for a few months. The flameback sounds nice. Chreub is amazing! In the top cut now. I don't really like the coral beauty. Seems to hit or miss, and I've heard more success storys with flames than anything else

Could any other bristletooths work Yellow Eye, Whitetail, etc
