Dwarf angel most appropriate for a softy tank?

I used to be more fish oriented, but after my tank was wiped out by velvet about 10 months ago and I’ve only kept 2 chromis and beefed up my corals since then I’m more inclined to shy away from anything that will destroy what I’ve been creating.

I might end up holding off on the angel for now and get another one at a later time... maybe when I have a second tank. Haha

They’re so tempting though!!

Ironic since you have a Potter's for your Avatar. :D Corals have their issues too, (ie Aiptaisa and other pests that can wipe out corals). To me, it's that Corals don't have any personality or level of activity the way fish can. I definitely love my Euphyllia Frags and even the Zoanthid Freebee that I got but my focus is still fish.

The Potter’s in my avatar was the one that I lost after several years due to velvet. One of the best fish I’ve kept. Really model reef citizen and a great personality! I’m tempted to try a second one, but I’m worried the new Potter’s won’t live up to the last one.

I’ve also kept an OSFF when I was less worried about corals being eaten.

The times have just changed for me, but I might end up worrying more about the fish again as time goes on. The corals are more frustrating than the fish in some aspects - like it’s harder to tell why they’re unhappy at times LOL

Every fish is different for example you can have model citizen flame angel in one tank, another flame in another will munch on corals. There many factors that where mentioned in previous comments like tank size, fish size and number of fish.

Form what I have noticed coral beauty and flame angel are some of the angel that me and many other reefers kept without any issues with softies and lps

I understand. Potter's do tend to be one of the better behaved Dwarf Angels in Reefs though. Expensive and can be a pain to get to eat though.

I have a pygmy angel in a 32 biocube. He only nips at my duncan out of protest if I do not feed at least twice a day.

Yeah, that’s what I’ve heard. I got really lucky all around with mine though. He was very inexpensive at the time (got him way before all these bans) and would eat literally anything I tossed into the tank. He was so awesome, it was absolutely heartbreaking to have him die.
