Dwarf angel picking on new lion

I have a 210 Fowler. My fuzzy dwarf lion (full grown) died about a month ago. I just took the new guy (little guy) out of QT on Sunday. Last night I noticed that the Lion's tail had some chunks taken out of it. Tonight I caught my dwarf bicolor angel picking on him [emoji17]. The lion is still active, but is obviously bothered by this. He did eat tonight.

Will this behavior stop once they "sort it out?" I do see a bite mark on my angler's tail from time to time when he ventures into the angel's turf apparently.

If the lion stings the angel, will it die? I had a lion sting an agressive YT once, but it didn't die.

Well that’s a nasty bicolor angel! Fuzzy dwarf bully easily and stress is deadly — if it were me I’d remove it unless I wanted it over the lionfish.

If the bullying continues for more than a day or two more it’ll probably be too late.

Your Dwarf Angel sounds like it's desperate for a Darwin Award. You definitely have one of the more assertive Bi-Colors that I have heard of.

I have seem him nip my 7" foxface, 5" Tomini tang, and not the lion. He's a little devil.

He never bothered the old lion but he was 6-7" and in there before. The new guy is 2." I hope it stops when they learn boundaries. If he gets stung, I hate to say it, but I like the lion better. I like all my fish, but you know what I mean.

I don't think that he is nipping him today, but he is definitely trying to intimidate him.

The lion is smart and points his spines at him.

If the bicolor continues to try and intimidate the lion, one will need to be removed. Fuzzy dwarfs don't compete well in tanks without harassment, let alone when being bullied.

I'm happy to report that I haven't seen any harassment or bullying for 3 days now! Gus seems more active and is being a little beggar like I would expect.

I guess they had to figure it out (like my dogs with a new addition).
