I have been getting an itch to add a second dwarf angel to my tank. Some say no, Others say yes. I have a flame angel, he is a model citizen. Does not mess with anything in the tank (Fish or coral). Wanting to add a bicolor angel. Tank size is 92 gallon corner. Whats everyone experience with having more than one dwarf angel. How did you add them to the tank. Together? Or at seprate times.

I had a flame in my 90 (4' long) for about 2 years. I added a 1/2 black and there was no issue. The 1/2 black was large, not sure if that made a difference. So, it's possible, but not a guarantee. Just have a backup plan to remove one of them.

I have a flame, multicolor, flameback, and bi-color in a 80 gallon and a keyole and 2 atlantic pygmy's in the other tank. I have had multiple dwarf angels in my tanks since my first tank in 1983. You just have to provide lots of hiding places and be able to referee is need be. If trying to pair up makes sure one is much larger than the other.

I've had multiple centropyge angels in most of my bigger tanks. I had 2 in a 4' 100 gallon tank and up to 4 in a 180 gallon tank.
I currently have 2 in my 240.

The temperament of your individual fish plays a big factor. Our pygmy is somewhat psychotic, had to wait and buy all the members of the tank at once so he wouldn't focus on one. On the other hand, we had the gentlest six line wrasse, and they are notorious meanies.

Okay. I made up my mind. Will be adding a bicolor angel. Just called my LFS to place one on their next order.

Please update this once you add him. Curious about your results. Also if you can post a pic of your tank so I can see what your rock work looks like. I have a minimalist look right now.

Just a word of caution, Flames are one of the most aggressive of the Dwarf Angels. Being that it is established, I would not at all be surprised to see a lot of aggression upon addition. I highly recommend using an acclimation box, or possibly diving the tank using eggcrate until the Flame is used to the new guy.

My current 65 has a Coral Beauty, Flame, and Multicolor - all 3 have been together for 2 years now.
Prior to that the Coral Beauty and Multicolored were in a 58 along with an venustus dwarf.

The flame had been part of a pair (( lost the smaller when I moved )) along with Centropyge Deborae, who in turn was with a Potter's after I moved the flame to the 65.

We have a flame, approx 2" long and a rock beauty angel (it's a mid size, not a dwarf) in our 90gallon tank, the flame was in there for about 6weeks before we fell for the rock beauty. They both seem fine. We had a bit of flaring and aggressive posturing but fed them when the beauty try went in and had no issues since. We are thinking of a flame and a bi colour when we get the aqua one cube set up, but we will wait and see.

I have a coral beauty and a flame angel in a 70 cube. I put them in at the same time, and the flame still half heartedly chases the beauty around after five months... But never any damage. Both have grown a bit and the coral seems healthy.

Multiple centropyges in your tank should not be an issue...

They key to minimizing aggression is to ensure that they are dissimilar in size. Preferable adding the gentler of the two first, and allowing it to stake its claim first. Then adding the more aggressive as to ensure the gentler one doesn't get bullied trying to find it's place in the reef. Many a reef are quite successful with multiple angels of various and similar types. That's not to say that sometimes aggression is present, however it is most certainly not impossible to have multiple angels.
