potters or multicolored angel? I only have one plate coral. I don't think I will have anymore corals. Just live rock and fish. Have very peaceful fish now in a 55 gallon. Which would be the better choice?

Been seeing some amazing looking Potters and it was so hard not to buy one over a flame angel, but went with the flame angel only because I have always wanted one. So that being said. Potters gets my vote!

Multicolors are less common. Plus that subgenus is my favorite dwarf angel subgenus.

Both are neat fish, I love the patterns on potters but multicolor are less common. Both are difficult fish to get started, then relatively hardy once established.

Oh I didn't know that. I don't want anything difficult. I did see one was sensitive to copper. So I didn't know how I would QT.

Yeah I already had a flame that's why I'm looking for something different.

Is one more passive than the other?

I see no fish the same as another. I was aware of it, but never had the chance to notice it until I had 11 different flame angels in 11 different tanks. 2 were very aggressive towards other fish all over the tank and 1 was being picked on by the emperor angel and scared of the Copperband Butterfly. A few were territorial. A few paid no mind to the other fish. 1 was very friendly to all the other fish that matched relatively close the fish in my tank. The friendly tankmate/model citizen and 3rd best looking one came home. Garfield(flame angel) is now best friends with the yellow & purple wrasse. He tries to even get my clown who is depressed right now to go play around and snap out of it, because of the loss of the clown's best friend the swissguard basslet. He keeps my Prawn Goby's bad attitude at bay without being a boss to him. Just respected as he passes by or when he tries to get him to hang out. Yeah it took me 3 days to make sure it was a consistent attitude by the one I took home. It was worth it taking the time since I plan on having him for years vs taking home the nicest one with the bad attitude. It is an angel. They can make a tank a real hard time for other fish:eek:

Since I get my fish online I won't have that advantage. Very interesting information. I do like the swissguard basslet as well. But I'm having a hard time choosing my last fish. Want it to be a little bigger fish. Have all the typical nano fish already.

Are you anywhere near Massachusetts? If you order fish. Go through Unique Aquaria. B the owner has gotten me some awesome fish and 100% healthy. Unique Aquraria is a sponsor of reef2reef now.
