DWARF Clowfish? Is there such a thing?

Ive been breeding clowns now for sometime....I have a batch that is reaching 1 1/2 years old and all are about 2" or so except for one of the clowns is is about 1/2" is it possible he is a dwarf? lol

That fish is stubby, it is a deformation that can happen during meta.

I dont know if its a dwarf but it def has some deformation.

The head is not rounded its stubby.

I know have you ever seen one like this before? My first..I have been waiting for him to grow but he dosen't!

They mostly cull then because sometimes it can cause problems later on with their spine.

Check out ORA's website they sell them as stubbys.

I would try to add some selcon to his food and isolate him so he can try and beef up.
 
ya i would cull him also. Just so his bad genetics dont pollute the species later on down the road if whoever ends up with it breeds it. Kindof like the AKC creating so many deformities in and problems with purebreds nowadays... just my .02
