Dwarf golden moray for biocube 29

So a guy I was going to buy some coral is also selling a golden dwarf eel and is trying to get me to buy it he says they are fine in a 29 gal biocube as they don’t swim much and just hid in the rocks and only come out to eat? Can one work in my biocube 29?? I always thought no smaller then a 40 breeder for one?

I would normally have recommended a larger tank as well, but these guys really do establish a very small territory. If you like him I'd say go it,

If this is the tank your having issues with I'd hold off unless you think your system can handle the extra bioload.

The only issue was those 2 corals not coloring up and phosphates at 0.06 but i pulled the gfo out and now am using nopox and got them down to 0.02, I personally feel the system could do it with twice a week waterchanges and with all the filtration I have on the tank

They are good in the reef , no problems with aggression, BUT make sure you have a tight fitting lid and ALL holes or cracks are covered they constantly try to escape the tank. Eels are like octopus, escape artist.

No it shouldn’t, remember fish generally don’t eat anything that can’t fit in its mouth.
