Dwarf Lionfish.... Will my Maxima clam be safe?

Hey guys,

title says it all - I have a maxima clam that has been thriving and I don't want to lose it. I plan to keep a dwarf lionfish, which will be the only fish in the tank.

Should I be worried about him going after my maxima clam? Do they generally try to eat clams of this species?

Any help would be appreciated. I didn't find much information regarding maxima's and dwarf lions.... If anyone has personal experience i'd like to hear them.

The maxima is probably 3" only right now... the dwarf lionfish is approximately that size too but more 4"...

The lion will have no interest in your clam. You only have to worry about fish and shrimp. I had a red dwarf a long time ago. Actually this came up in my facebook memories today. Took this pic 10 years ago :

That’s good to hear. And beautiful looking dwarf! I’ve grown very fond of them the past couple months. Excited to be able to finally house one.
