Dwarf seahorse

hello everyone. I am new here and new to saltwater family. Husband and I have a 180g fresh water. I've always wanted seahorses so I finally got them. I have a 15g clear for life with over the back filter. Couple of my males are pregnant so my question is....do I turn off the filter? Or should I cover it with net so the frys don't getsucked in. Thank you!

Depends on the size of the intake, but covering it with netting is a good option!
