Outside of Hawaii, any other collection areas or are they endemic? This ban on a
Sustainable fishery is really upsetting to the responsible reef
Keepers. Let’s Ban the Ban already

They are endemic to Hawaii, and if they're like most eels, will likely never be captive bred. The fishery will need to be reopened before you can expect to see them available with any frequency.
