I just got my first pair of clowns and im wondering if my dwarf zebra will eat them when he is bigger. Right now he is scared of them. Could you guys give me your personal experiences? Like how long you had the fish together before they got eaten/without getting eaten. +what kind of fish and aprox size. Thanks!

They tend to eat what they can fit in their mouth from my experience. They will leave bigger fish like the tangs alone but anything around their size and easy to catch appears to be open game from my experience.
My zebra has been the fastest growing of all my lions, he went from under 2" to over 4" in a year's time. With that said if you are feeding them dead food and with the body type of the clowns, over time I wouldn't think he would eat them. Like tank said they need to fit them in their mouth, clowns are built more robust, as long as they are about the same size I wouldn't worry. Also if you are feeding dead the zebra won't want to work that hard for his food. That's the optimistic view, then again they are ambush predators and their nature would be to eat them. He could be perched somewhere and a clown could go swimming by; and gulp. Personally I wouldn't keep any fish I had to question with one of my lions.

It's a possibility the clowns may get eaten, but not a certainty. If you're worried, then don't mix them.
