Hello all, sadly I have to ask the question... What do I do if a polyp dies on a frag plug with other polyps on it? I have on that seems to be getting weaker and weaker. First it didnt want to close up with a gentle poke and now it doesn't seem to want to fully open. Based on this im guessing its on its way out??? So, if it dies what do I do?

I gave it a peroxide dip. No nothing suggests pests. They all look good. Just 1 of the 4 polyps seems unhappy. I could be just worried because im new and its 1 of my first 4 corals

Sounds like it may just need some time. Even if that polyp does die on the plug, it shouldn't hurt the others. Hopefully it will pull through for you. Good luck!

If i see one polyp looking bad i try to remove it as 1 polyp can take out a whole colony. You can take out the frag and smell it if it stinks i would cut it off. In my main tank i have a yellow tang that eats any hurt polyp so i don't worry about it. If your polyp is half open it's a good sign just give it time.

Check underneath sometimes the polyp dies from the bottom up and smells something awful. Also you can remove the decaying one and the rest of the healthy colony should bounce back.
