Here's a tutorial on how to build an outlet controller to turn devices on and off. It's based on an Arduino board and does require some basic electronics and coding skills (if you want to customize the project).

It includes four relays, each of which controls one or more outlets, a push button to turn off pumps during feeding and a temperature sensor to turn on a fan or chiller if the temp gets above 81 degrees.
