Hey all, someone posted yesterday about how to do your own screen lid. Forgot the user but as promised here is my post!
I used Doull rods, enhanced chicken “wire” which is more plastic and soft, and zip ties!
My tank is a 125 six foot tank WITH a rim. So I did mine in 3 sections to fit the style of tank I have.
First I measured and cut the rods to fit the dimensions of my area. Then used the wire to lay over the top. Then zip ties to keep it in place.
Since my tank has a rim it wont be visible from the sides, only the top. Here are the progress pictures!
