My RBTA decided to tear his foot off the rock last night and i had to go looking for him this morning....I found him small and his foot looked like it was deteriorating....I picked him up and put him in a breeders net. You can see right through him if you look in his mouth....I doubt there’s anything i can do but I’d like to hear what you guys have to say

Can you get a pic of the foot?

Maybe throw a little rock in for it to cling on. I'm not sure how well they do without stability as the bottom is mesh.

Does it have a horrible smell?

I already threw him out there was just a giant gapping hole and no foot....hes a goner....):

Sorry to hear that. Any idea on the original cause?

I would try to determine the cause in case there was or is an issue. That was relatively quick for a bta death.

From the description, it sounds like it detached and floated around then you found it somewhere else. Correct?

Well ive never seen him float around he usually moves like a snail but before i went to bed that night his foot looked irritated...i woke up the next morning to find him deflated loss in color and a hole right through him....im not sure if he was dying and the bristle worms started to eat him? I was fiddling with my light that day to add more white light for my clam....maybe he didn’t like it ‍♀️
