Recently my anemone detached from his spot and was flipped over for a few hours. I got home, dug out a spot, and put him in it and he hasn't moved yet. I noticed brown stuff coming out of his mouth today and heard that they spew out their guts when they are dying. Wasn’t sure if its waste or guts and I want to know if I should take him out. Heres a picture of when I got him vs now

He looks fine to me and if there’s brown stuff coming out I would say that as GoReefin said, it’s probably poop. People don’t seem to realize that anemones poop. When I first started keeping anemones it freaked me out also. (Because I have read that they spit out their guts before they die). I have found the best practice with anemones is to leave them alone as much as possible because they are very easily agitated. Getting them ticked off will just make them look like they’re sick. They also will do much better if they have a fish hosting with them. For long tentacle anemones I find the clarkii’s are the best. They will jump right in there and get to work! I finally learned to leave mine alone and let them be where they wanna be and they are all doing fantastic. Good luck!
