So I have a clown that is in the process of dying. I think it's so late but is there anything I could possibly do? IMG_20170809_084740661.jpg

This is my second fish in two months. Last one was a clown as well. I have another clown and a flame angel who I assume would go as well if something was wrong with the tank. I'm about to do some water tests to see how my readings are but is there something I can do to prevent more deaths

We need actual test results to tell you anything. Sorry for your fish. Do you have cleaner water to put it in? That looks nasty with the hair.

Yeah I know I just cleaned it out. He had wedge himself between two rocks and it was the only think I had to throw him in at the time. I'm doing water test now.

Have you noticed any symptoms? White patches, dots, marks? Heavy breathing? You could possibly be dealing with a parasite it's hard for me to tell from that picture.

Here's a better picture IMG_20170809_091933474.jpg

But he's literally only looked like this this morning. He was perfect fine yesterday. I did a small water change added a very very tiny amount of calcium cause I had planned to start adding corals in this week. And this morning when I woke up he was just laying on the bottom of the tank

Alright water test are done:
pH: 8.2
Ammonia: 0
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: 5.0

I did a 25% water change yesterday

Is he dead? I see a lot of white patches/abraded areas that make me concerned about either Brook or Velvet. If he is still alive you may want to try a freshwater dip. #reefsquad

I would also be concerned that the other fish have it and aren't showing symptoms. I'm assuming your salinity is fine as well and you use RODI water? You will likely want to quarantine all fish.

I hate to say he is the the process of dying... And his color wasn't that bad then I found him he's slowly losing it as time passes... If you know what I mean :(

As of sending that last post he has past.

I'm sorry about your clownfish. Are the other fish ok?

My flame angel is doing good I'm worrying about my other clown and I can't tell if it's just me trying to find something wrong or of something is wrong. But he's kinda swimming with his body diagonal and will sometimes just kinda sink to the bottom but gets right back up.

Sorry for your loss. Is this the same clownfish you were concerned about last week? If so I would move the other fish to QT and treat. Allow the tank to go fallow to protect the other inhabitants and any new additions.

Yes but after the incident everything was fine and blamed it on the light scaring them. I'll see what I can do for a QT but I have nothing really for them

Many parasites go through cycles. They infect the fish, then drop off to reproduce. After the first attack it looks like they are fine. They arent and usually the second wave is worse because the parasite has reproduced and now greater numbers attack the fish. You dont need anything fancy to QT. Tank, HOB filter, heater, pvc pipe, powerhead

The only thing is is my local fish store is almost 3 hours away. So even if it's not fancy I can't just run down the road to pick it up. The only thing I have extra is a 5 gallon tank but no hook ups for it. Is there any medicine I could get to get rid of the parasites (have to order off line) or would a freshwater dip help?

Not sure if this will help but a while ago maybe a month I did find these clear bugs on the side of my glass. Someone told me they were fine and I didn't think anything of it. IMG_20170809_100607089.jpg

Sorry for crappy picture but you can kinda see them there on the back of the tank

Copepods, those are good to have in your tank!
