My blue side fairy wrasse has been hiding and not eating to my knowledge for 3 days. I was finally able to catch it today but i fear it wont make it through the night. I have it in QT. The only meds I have here are Metroplex and cupramine. There seems to be a white/clear bubble at the mouth that expands and contracts with its breathing. I dont know what would cause that. See the pic and you can see the bubble starting to expand as it exhales. Should I treat my QT with meds?

Looks like something was ingested. Are you able to carefully pull to see if it dislodges?

That may have been it. I pulled him out of QT for a closer look this morning and the bubble was gone. I did add a dose of metro plex last night because i figured it wouldnt hurt. When I put him back in QT he swam to the bottom rather than sunk. Breathing is still heavy though. I havent seen him eat for 3 days. Should I offer food today?

I wouldn't offer food until breathing appears normal and he is poking around for a lunch

Was the Wrasse QT’ed before going into your DT? Have you done a FW dip to check for flukes?

Yes was QT for over 30 days, put in DT but flame angel wouldnt leave it alone so I pulled it back out and it lived in QT in for about 3 months. Got rid of the flame angel and its been in DT for about 2 months now. My female percula chases it around but never saw evedance of fin damage. Idk much about diseases so i guess its time to read about flukes.

I tried the FW dip. Didnt see anything like the pics happening. Im at a loss for what do do for my fish. Its just laying on its side at the bottom of the tank. A bit of its tail fin is missing now too. Maybe start hypo in case its a parasite. Idk anymore

There's probably still a blockage in thw mouth just farther down... idk what to do.. #reefsquad

Well the wrasse passed in the night. RIP. Maybe it was just old when I got it? Maybe it had a blockage? We may never know....
