These are some of my LPS. Over the past week, I have noticed that they have been dying/ticked off. My water parameters have been the same for about a year now and I have never had issues in the past. On the hammer and frogspawn, it looks as if the tissue is deteriorating. I’ve also noticed that my starfish is limbs are also deteriorating. On my acans, they seem to be dying. I have never had an issue with them in the past either so this is all new to me.

In the summer (current) the tank peaks 83 degrees. I can’t seem to keep it lower than 80. and at night the tank ranges around 80
I find my LPS prefers 76-77 personally. Have you changed anything? lights? pumps? etc..? also have any idea on PAR at the effected corals? Have you checked any and all magnets in the water for break through and rust? For phosphate did you mean .02 or .2? if .2 was on purpose that is a little high for most.

I haven’t changed anything since i’ve had the tank, even the temperature. And i don’t have a par reader but the coral have been absolutely fine until now. I don’t have any magnets in the after currently. And for phosphates my test kit read 0.2.
And do you know anyways to keep the tank cooler? Temp was always an issue for me

If the tank is much cooler than the room you are keeping it in then either you are near a window with sun, appliance or appliance vent, your equipment is putting heat into the water (from pumps, lighting, miss calibrated heater thermostat). Evaporative cooling such as a fan blowing across the top is usually good for a few degrees but can eat up your ATO reserves.

.2 is high for me. I personally try to keep phosphate below 1.2. .03-.08 is what I aim for. Has it always been .2?
