Dying hammer?

Something seems to be going on with my hammer coral. I have no idea how long it’s been going on for because I’m at college. My sister has been doing a fantastic job taking care of my tank but she sent me this picture this morning and doesn’t know what’s wrong and neither do I. She said she first noticed it 2-3 days ago. Some of my other coral seem to be affected by this, what should I do? I’m thinking of just having her pull it out of the tank…

Yes it’s 100% dead remove it carefully to try to get out as much of the mucus as possible. This is most likely brown jelly decease

Ok thank you, we are removing it now. It seems to of affected the health of my other coral, what can I do to help? I’ve never had this issue before.

Catch as much if the goo as you can and remove the skeleton. Maybe dipping the others might save them, but you will have some die off I'm sure. I haven't had the issue but have read enough from others. That sucks man I love our hammer, my wife picked it and it's one of my favorites
