I have a meat coral that has lost most of its color and it starting to strip, that I picked up from another Hobbiest after a mini crash. I have had it in my tank for a little over a month in a low flow and lower light and it is just getting worse. All other coral are doing well and growing.

Tank 25 nuvo w/ 10g sump

Tank parameters
Alk 7.8
Cal 460
Salinity 35 ppt
No3. 10
Po4 .03

All parameter have been stable. Except No3 and Po4 which I have been dosing Brightwell Fastart-m to bring up from zero.

I dose KZ LPS amino and feed phyto daily. Last week I target the tank fed reef roids for the first time.

I do a weekly 5g water change.

Is there anything else I can do to bring this coral back to life?

I think you are doing the right thing... Give it more time... sometimes corals just die if they have been stressed (previous tank crash)

You can try dipping your coral in revive, and Furan and see how it fairs. Dip would be to get any pests off, and Furan or Iodine for anything Bacterial.

The edges of the coral look to have some sort of algae growth on it. The Bubbles are attaching.

A few questions:
What is age of tank
What are your parameters ( Ph, salinity, temp, alk, mag and calcium levels)
What test kit(s) do you use?

IF YOU HAD TO TAKE A REEFING EXAM, WOULD YOU PASS?
