Not sure of I should be panicking so looking for some advise. Have had a BTA in my tank for a month now. It’s been moving around since then. It’s been closed up for few days now. Just now, it looks like this:

Seems to be double this size in the mornings, then shrink down to this size.

Everything else in tank looks good including torches, gammes, frogspawn, other corals, fish and even my other BTA. Ammonia and Nitrites are zero. Nitrates around 10. Salinity is 35ppt.

This guy is still moving around. Any advise?

If he’s stuck he’s OK, you give the impression he’s moving a lot and this may be a lighting and/flow issue.

They hate any abrupt change in salinity and temp, and potentially high nitrates which could make it split.

If your certain your water is absolutely in the range and stable and there’s LOTS of light available, I would do nothing.

Is that and Urchin?
This mindless CUC can mow down anything.
Also, be careful of peppermint shrimps.

If you feed, I’d stop this for now.

Thanks! He's definitely stuck on and my water hasn't budged. I am probably paranoid, but I check the chemistry daily. I haven't been target feeding. I'll continue to monitor.

Oh....I would stop the target feed for a few weeks.
This animals ability to process foods is super slow and wastes are expelled when they shrink.
In reality, they do not need anything but strong light to survive indefinitely, feeding also makes them grow and split.
Weirdest marine inhabitant I have kept, used to make me paranoid as well.
Good luck.
