I bought 15 snails a week and a half ago. Noticed half of them just stopped moving around. They're still alive as I pick them up and move them onto rocks or a new spot in the sand but they stop moving again after a few inches. Is this normal to lose some sails? Only a few are still slugging along. I have Turbos, Margaritas and Nessarius. My water parameters are fine so I know it's not that. My tank is pretty dang clean actually so maybe it's lack of food? But they should keep searching no? Maybe they're just lazy? Lol

Yeah, I feed heavy so mine are well fed with the leftover food and algae growth from the nutrients. I’d take some out or supplement with veggie pellets. Is that the fluval 13.5? 15 snails is way too many. 1 snail per every 5 gallons is a pretty good rule of thumb.

It's an Aqueon 15 column. But yea I saw the BRS episode. That is way too many snails. You're right. Now what is left is probably a good number. I have 2 nessarius', 2 margaritas and 1 turbo.

It's gotta be that they just ran out of food and energy. It's just odd though cuz there is always few extra pieces of Mysis that don't get eaten sitting on the sand bed. Its like my water parameters are off but they're definitely not. I test regularly and my numbers are great. I even test trace elements. I think if something were off with my water my Goniopora would be the first to tell me and he's very happy. It's gotta just be they didn't get enough to eat and ran out of energy. I snatched most of them up and put them in a container with saltwater to take them back to the LFS. Few of them moved around a little but then stopped. Gotta be lack of energy. It's bothering me if you can't tell lol I just wanna make sure it's nothing else but don't know what it could be besides not enough food.
