I recently had a big sps colony die and it wiped out a bunch of my sps encrusted frags

Im thinking its related i broke off one of the frags that was starting to die and its fine

i also made a channel in the rock encrusted part between dying sps and living tissue the living side is still alive the dying side totally bleached out

I have had an sps form a bubble substance over it and then the sps totally stn'd. When i removed coral. Anywhere that bubble substance touched other sps. It caused them to stn. Didnt bother montipora

My styloC rtn'd last week, it stn'd a Monti cap that was right next to it. Lucky I fraged the cap so I will replace it back where it was.
My inkbird went haywire and caused a high temp swing. Those were the only 2 affected

I have had montis die over 4 months from just fragging one of mine (although I had a alk spike one day). I think the corals got weakened and eventually succumbed to some bacteria or virus.

This happened to me just 2 week ago. ORA delicate and ora red planet were touching. The Delicate rtn'd in a day out of nowhere. And I think a bacteria or something spread to my red planet colony as well. I immediately fragged my red planet into 6 nice sized frags and dipped in Revive. 2 out of the 6 are still alive. Im hoping the last 2 will make it since it's been about 2 weeks. I had a slight alk spike. From 6 to 7.5 over 2 weeks prior to the rtn. I am very confident I have no pests. I blame it on the change

Blue hippo broke off a piece of my Oregon tort, it fell on my FrogSkin Acro and both died both died within 2 days. I thought/hoped they would grow together. Nope

I brought home and fragged an RTN
Colony From a Lfs. None of those frags lived and one of my weaker sps colonies in the tank also died a week later.
Worst rescue attempt I’ve made.

Its good to see that im not the only one
I mean its not a good problem but hopefully we can figure out how to fix this issue

How many of you run carbon i was running carbon and that didn’t help

Another weird thing i have noticed that if a coral was fragged and it or the mother died the frag or mother followed within a day or two

I was running carbon at the time. No help at all but it was not a fresh bag either.
