Dying star fish ??

Just turned on the lights to find my blue star fish like this..... looks like he is falling apart... should I remove him???

its dying, but its not dead yet, and it sort of breaks my heart a little to think it will be "removed" to be tossed in the trash or flushed. Those things really should just be left in the ocean.
