I am not sure why, but my torches are dying one by one. I suspect that it is brown jelly disease. I took one out to try dip but 1 head just disintegrated when I was stirring. My salinity - 1.025, alk at 8.5ish, nitrates at 5ppm. All other corals are fine in the tank at the moment.

Really not sure what to do...

I have had this with my Aussie gold, where three heads died with bacterial infection. I treated a couple of times with furan 2 and it did not help.

One thing I did notice that the flow was too high for torch where it was. I moved the one head to a relatively gentler flow and it is flourishing now.

How is Calcium and phosphate. How old is the tank and what fishes do you have.

My tank is about 3.5 months old so I don’t have all the checkers. Getting them in tomorrow and do another water change. I have 6 fishes inside.

The one that disintegrated I had inside the tank for about 3 months, (one of my first corals I got), the flow on my wave maker is sort of above it but I have never changed the settings recently. I will try lower the flow and see if it improves anything.

I've had this happen to two Aussie Golds now. Wish I could tell you what went wrong, but in both cases my guess is that it was just an immature tank.

It is odd that you had one for 3 months before this happened, though...

When I see a torch slowly go downhill- I always dip for the flatworms that are specific to euphillia. It can be surprising to see how many can be in skel-and yet none be visible elsewhere.
