I’m using a LED Sanrise Manual Set Light
Yeah been setup for roughly 3 months. If I understood your comment and ur tank is still cycling that's ur problem. You can't grab a piece of rock from a older tank and dose some good bacteria to speed up the process?
Nitrate high is a problem. Also need to know calcium and magnesium. I've never heard of those lights which could also be an issue.
I just looked at the other pic's. You have other corals in there that look fine. Is it possible that that head got stung? Because other heads look fine
I moved it the the bottom of the tank near higher flow before it was only next to a kenyan tree and the toadstool don’t see anything bc stinging it i’d say that’s not an optionI just looked at the other pic's. this is not likely a parameter issue but rather husbandry. While frogspawn and euphyllia are not picky about placement, the sandbed is not an ideal location as they are easily irritated by loose sand. The big key is to avoid the extremes- Extreme light and extreme water flow. You want them waving in the current but not bent over their skeleton. Too little light and they wither/recede and too much ight and they bleach. Light should be moderate to medium to allow production of their zooxanthellae which is their energy source and flow subtle to moderate.
Just says nitrate is high, while no reading of magnesium or calcium. Ruling out parameters is a stretch imo.this is not likely a parameter issue but rather husbandry. Because they are a skeletal coral with polyp, calcium of at least 380-400 is required.
Assure salinity and Phos levels are Not elevated. Feed a few mysis shrimp 2-3X per week
I only just put it to the bottom of the tank to see how it performs under higher flow but it looks like it might die.this is not likely a parameter issue but rather husbandry. Bring ot to lower third to mid tankI only just put it to the bottom of the tank to see how it performs under higher flow but it looks like it might die.
If you saw any of mine- they tolerate nitrate well, Phos , not so wellJust says nitrate is high, while no reading of magnesium or calcium. Ruling out parameters is a stretch imo.
No one is doubting your experience and success. If I remember correctly you keep your nitrate around 5 though don't you? Just friendly banter here, text doesn't always come out with the right feelings behind it.If you saw any of mine- they tolerate nitrate well, Phos , not so well

5 for nems and other delicate otherwise 10 to 15 acceptable. Any later posts, you will notice I have recommended <10No one is doubting your experience and success.
