Hello guys, for the past couple of days ive been having problems keeping a stable water level on my return section of my tank. I currently have an eflux 1050GPH on my 75 gallon for the past 8 months and didnt have an issue until recently. What i cant figure out is if the issue is the controller or simply the pump itself since i dont have an apex. Its getting really annoying since my tunze osmolator alarm keeps going off at night since the water level on my return section gets too high. It seems to do that for a couple of hours then goes back to normal.

Have you cleaned the pump? Soak in vinegar or citric acid, rinse, rinse, rinse. . .

Yea i cleaned it but not with vinegar as ive heard bad stuff about it. I just rinsed it well with warm water. But why is it that it losses flow for a couple of hours then goes back to normal again?,

Those DC pumps often have very tight tolerances and when in use will have build ups of minerals. Vinegar or citric acid will dissolve most mineral build ups quite nicely. Both are commonly used to clean tanks too.
