I got quite lots of zoas by now, and its one Eagle Eye colony that is not happy at all - well its happy in the sense its growing and not shrinking and opening up, but the white spot is strange.

Its a lot of other zoas close by at the same light and flow that has no issues at all, so it might be some kind of disease on this zoa

How long has it been like that? Does it seem to be progressing each day? I don't think it's a disease.

Its been like that for probably 2-3 months. I bought it as a 10 polyp frag during the summer, and it became like that. Dont know if I would say its progressing, but growing with the colony.

Eagle eyes develop those striations sometimes depending on light. I believe they used to be called kaleidoscopes. However it's not a true morph from what I remember and when you move them you'll most likely lose it.

If they are not "sick" thats a good thing, and I tried to move it around, even on a frag rack. It get good amounts of lights from a Mitras Lx7 so it should be enough.

Its not pretty, but can it recover or will it be completely white?

Attached a new photo of how it looks.
