Wow ! What a great start and beautiful job with the build so far both the cabinetry and home remodeling. Also looking forward to your progress on it and the cabinetry tie ins.

Thanks Everyone. Well the cabinets are built. 2 days with the carpenter hat on. I know I'm ready to get my plumber hat on. Brandi is working on the end cabinets and book shelves now

We just did a mock up to see the scale. Still have to antique a few cabinets and do some trim work. It's huge lol

Once we got it on the stand we could see there was a nice sized scratch down the middle where they had the wood frame in the crate. So I've been sanding and polishing for hours. Just what u like to do to a new tank huh. It's finally buffed back out like new. We got the inside scratches out too. Silicone the starboard bottom in. Probably start some plumbing tomorow.

The last pic just has the reflection of the room. It took a lot of novus. Had to sand quite a bit to get that gouge out where the crate was rubbing.

Plumbed as far as we can until I get the tank full. I'll be using my sump from our 75. Filling it now. I did herbie overflows. Inch and 1/2. Gonna run 2 ehiem compact 5000 for return pumps. One to each return. I have my my ato and make up water plumbed through my attic out to the fish room. Been using litermeters for auto water change and top off but had one pump go bad. I'll prolly end up with a few cole parmer pumps soon. I talked to the spectrapure guy 3 times about replacement rollers for the litermeter but haven't seen em yet. So much to do still.

Dave is horrible with communication. I bought my 240 and sump from him. 3 months after deposit he finally calls me and ask "what is the size of tank are we doing" the tank was supposed to be done that week. I go and pick it up and its filthy, asked him to clean it and that was an issue. Didn't notice anything major at his shop and when I got it home there was a big scratch down one side (luckily near corner) and a small chip in front (I will never get out). But the price was great and i made it work. Your build is looking awesome!

Thanks Mountee. I agree with everything you said. If I could have seen his shop beforehand or his personal tanks (glass rimmed tanks) that are held together by clamps, I would have never bought from him. It took forever and I would call to see how the build was going and he wouldn't even know what tank I was talking about. He seemed to throw most everything I wanted done out the window and did it how he wanted to do it. After a few hours of sanding and buffing yesterday I was starting to get madder and madder. Lesson learned here. It's half full now and no signs of leaks yet. Fingers are crossed!!! I will second this to please be careful buying anything from that guy. Acrylic Creations, Butler PA. The price looks good but dang.
