Early treatment of flatworm eXit

Hey all,

So I recently bought a coral from my LFS that was literally covered in flatworms. I didn't realize until I was home and preparing the dip. I pulled off all of the eggs and dipped it twice. Fast forward to today: I decided to check the other coral that I bought from that same LFS the previous week and low and behold there were flatworms eggs on it! Yuck.

I want to get ahead of this before the flatworms get to toxic levels (upon treatment). Is it OK to treat with flatworm eXit now?

TL;DR:
If I found flatworm eggs on one of my coral, can I preemptively treat with Flatworm eXit before I've actually seen flatworms?

Updated to add: Just dipped that coral and a flatworm came off, so I assume it is okay to start treatment of the tank.

What type of flatowrm are you talking about. EEFW, AEFW, just planaria or what?

right now they're small and brownish. Saw one on my GSP that was like an inch long and 1/3rd and inch thick

From pictures I would say planaria. The eggs are clear sacks with like dots in them.

ETA: I don't have any euphylia coral

So I think I'm going to run the treatment today. I have a HOB filter, do I have to remove the carbon already in the filter before I do the treatment, or do I add more activated carbon after? Or both?
Do I change out the media a day after treatment?
