So I have a 15 gallon acrylic frag tank and was wondering what’s the easiest way to plumb the tank into the brute container it’s a 32 gallon brute doesn’t have to be pretty it’s in the basement.

I like uniseals.

If through the curved sides ….. uniseals. if though the flat bottom ….. regular bulkheads (though uniseals work here too)

For the tank though should I just drill a hole in the bottom and run pvc to the brute container? The tank has a little built in sump which I will not be using.

Can you show a picture of the tank?

You can see the little sump in the back

I had thought about something similar to this when i was looking at adding a display fuge to my tank. What i looked into doing was drilling from the bottom into the return section of the aio and setting up a bean animal or herbie type drain, and using the existing returns to plumb to a pump in the return section of my sump. Something like this. (Excuse the finger drawing as all i have available is my phone.)

Drill a hole for a bulkhead and add return plumbing (blue) and drill 3 holes and add bean animal. Red emeregency white primary and secondary.

Hopes this helps and if someone has other suggestions i hope they chime in.
