whats up everyone my name is Jose I just started the hobby with a 65-gallon 250 Red Sea MAX reefer tank. I purchase the tank of a friend of mine which he already had for 2 years so some of the rocky he gave me is live but is infested with apt Asia I purchased a filefish to try to get rid of it but so far no luck we'll see how it goes. Glad to be aboard

Welcome to r2r!

just getting started thank you. maybe you can help me understand how this site is beneficial to my tanks best results
To start the site has tons of info from equipment reviews, to fish health, to coral health and so on. There is also a lot of members with a lot of experience always willing to help with answering questions and figuring out issues one may be having. Another thing is we have great sponsors willing to help with their products also a lot of new products are posted here as well. The livestock sponsors have some of the nicest fish and coral you can find. If it has to do with a reef, reef2reef has it.

Welcome!

By "East Bay", do you mean "East Bay (of SF, CA)" by chance?

This forum has been a total boom to me with my new tank. SO much information available that I've had questions answered I didn't even know I was supposed to be asking about. Beyond even that; there are so many friendly people totally willing (dare I say "eager") to help you out with any question you might have.

If you need even more reason to frequent the site; the vendors that participate are great. On this site, you'll have an inside-track on not only some fantastic sales of livestock (coral and fish), but also the ability to get information and updates on gear.

Welcome to R2R. You will quickly discover how this site will benefit you and your tank the first time you have an issue or question. There are a ton of people here willing and able to help when the time comes.

Welcome to R2R;)

Your better off ditching the Rock and starting over. You can always sell rock back or online. FB Bay Area coral lovers is good resource of people & used equipment. Good luck and welcome.
