I was sitting around yesterday and figured I'd make up some frag "plugs" for some stuff I wanted to frag. I got some wax paper and covered a wooden stool I have outside. Taped it to the bottom so it wouldn't come off. Then I took some sand and put it on top of the wax paper and made small piles. I made them kind of flat, but they can be any shape or size you want. Then I got out some regular super glue and squeezed it out onto the sand piles. The glue will seep down to the bottom of the piles.
When it is dry, maybe 3 minutes or so, take the wax paper off and peel the piles of glued up sand off. The bottom of the pile might still be a little wet. Don't wait too long though. If you try to peel them off while the glue is still a little wet, they should just come off the wax paper. If you wait a little too long, some of the wax paper will probably come off with it. I had both of these happen. Set off to the side and let dry completely.
I wasn't crazy about how flat they turned out so I put sand in a bag and then put the wax paper over it. Pushed down into it to try to make a mold of sorts. Top part of first pic. It didn't work out quite like I wanted. I had the sand I was gluing up in a small plastic container. I mover it all to one side and kind of packed it in place. Then I squeezed more glue on to this sand. I tried to do it in small circles. Waited a little while, then shook the container to break up the sand a little. Take them out and let them dry thoroughly.
The superglue I used is just regular CA glue. I got a package of 4 for $1 at wal mart. It is over in the paint dept.
