After worrying about whether my pintail wrasse is going to die all week, I've realized that my stocking list may present too much stress (and expense). Hoping to get some suggestions for 2-4" fish that have great personality and are easy to QT/keep in DT.

Thanks!

What size tank do you have? What other fish do you currently have? Do you have a reef or fish only?
It will be a mixed reef. I currently have a pintail wrasse in QT, no other fish. Tank is 29G, 30x12x18", with a 20G sump.

i have a sapphire or springer damsel too, very cool fish. never seen mine get aggressive, it gets chased off by a kauderns cardinal from time to time. the blue is very cool under reef lighting too

Clowns of the Occ or Percula variety might, but can be territorial once established. A Pajama Cardinalfish would be a good choice. Maybe a Pink Streaked Wrasse?

If you’re looking for less expensive and easier to keep fish I would recommend checking out this list from live aquaria and picking fish that are happy in a 30 gallon or smaller tank.

Lots of great fish like basslets (like the royal gramma, gobies, some blennies, cardinalfish, hawkfish and some wrasses to choose from.

Stay away from the six line wrasse they are too aggressive

I would look into Neon Gobies and Sharknose Gobies.
I have a regular Blue Neon in a 57g cube with a Sunburst Anthias, Helfrichi Firefish, and dragonface Pipefish.
He is the most active out of all of them lol.
Small fish, low bioload, pretty nice looking, non aggressive, and easy to feed.
They will also clean your hand and kinda rest on your palm so it’s pretty cute.
