I'm looking to add more corals to my tank. I'm looking for any colorful LPS that are relatively hearty. Any recommendations?

Acans, acans, acans and more acans

I always recommend Duncans, Candy Canes, and Euphyllia (in that order) to anyone new to LPS and first time reef tank owners. They are hardy, inexpensive, and grow well. Brains are great, but most are more expensive, grow much slower, and tend to be more sensitive to their placement in the tank. You'll have success with just about any LPS you choose if you maintain a stable salinity, alkalinity around 10dKH, spot feed, and keep the water high in dissolved organics.

You're missing out if you don't grow out Duncan and Candy Cane colonies from a single head. Acan echinata has never given me any problems and grow quickly compared to other brains. A prism favia will do really well if you put it in a shaded area with gentle flow. Acan lords like gentle flow like the favias, but need a little more light. Keep the alkalinity up and feed well and you won't any problems.

So since acans are the most common suggestion what are of y'all's favorite acan as. Post some pictures of your favorites

Whaddya mean you don't like Candy Canes?!!
