EASY MODE SPS

that green birds nest has been a very quick grower for me.

Acros are tough. Bali green slime is fairly easy but still doesn't like parameter swings.

what is the easiest sps coral to keep?

Can handle swings in parameters and such as well as grow under a variety of conditions.

Any Acropora in the list?

I listed a few of the easier to keep genera in this post. Depending on what you mean by "easy", no, there aren't any acroporas on that list. But there are some acros that are "less difficult" as opposed to "beyond difficult". ;)

I'm just starting to have success with SPS, here is what I'm currently keeping. My tank is about four months old.

Sitiatopora- birdsnest
Stylophora
Leptoseis

All have great PE and color

Knock on wood do far so good

One of the prettiest acros is the Walt Disney and it’s almost indestructible.

As long as the Acro has been tanked for years they become pretty hardy to a point of course. Really understanding your tank and what its needs are will make you successful in most cases.

Encrusting Montipora types are generally hardy, as are Cyphastrea and Astreopora types. I find Pavona and Hydnophora to be very hardy as well. I've had Pavona survive a heatwave with 95 degree water and 20ppm ammonia when an AC unit failed while at work, it and the Xenia (somehow) were the only survivors in the tank of dozens of coral types.

This mostly depends on individual people/tanks. I can kill a birdsnest (which most people find easy) in less than a week, but my red dragon and Oregon tort (which many people find difficult) are growing like weeds.

In the end, I think it mostly comes down to try something out and see what happens.

Rainbows Army from @Battlecorals has been bullet proof for me. Continues to grow no matter what I mess up. Low alk to too high of salinity, it just keeps going. He has loads of proven sps that will do well for you. Send Adam a pm, you won't be disappointed with what you get.

my green slimer is probably the one sps that does not stop growing even when i have parameter swings. birdsnests are easiest from my experience
