EB8 blinking yellow. Help!!!

I came home to a dead Apex display module and EB8 with yellow light blinking. Hi, I'm pretty Noob with Apex and having a hard getting help from Neptunesystems support so I was hoping some one from here can help me out. My setup includes an Apex lite module, EB8 & display (and pH, temp probe, etc...) In any case, my display module is dead, the Apex linking module is solid green and my EB8's lite is blinking yellow with the outlets in fallback status (most are off.) I tried unplugged and plug the EB8 bar and that didn't reset the outlets or reconnect to the network. I tried unplugged and plug the module from the EB8 and that didn't work neither. Until I can afford to replace the controller, I was hoping to get this one stay working without the display module. Any thought would be greatly appreciated.

How old is the unit and where is it located? I had an apex on my last tank, and had my eb8 and Base unit inside stand. The stand was open in the back but somehow the evaporation/humidity managed to destroy the base unit and a few of the eb8 usb ports in 3yrs. It also was blinking yellow and I could not get any of it to work. Very frustrating when your light won't run without the controller signal. Needless to say that was an expensive trash bag

Yeah, mine is in the enclosure of the stand so I can see humidity being potential issue.

When was the the last update on it? I remember mine blinking yellow during the update firmware process

Reset and update the firmware im sure thats the issue

I didn't think of humidity in the stand. Hmm maybe a fan in the stand
