Can this be done? My plug is just far enough that the EB832 will not reach and mount in my stand. i bought a 15amp GFCI Tripp-lite power strip that will get me where i need to. is it ok to use this, it is rated at 15amps and has heavy duty wire init, 14x3 wire?

I am not an electrician but I plan high-amperage and high-voltage systems for data centers often.

It looks like the EB832 has a max 15 Amps and the Tripp-Lite products are generally pretty reliable. Most home circuits are rated at 15A max in the US (20A sockets have a t prong) As long as that is the only thing plugged into it you should be fine. Calculate how many watts your equipment will be running and divide by 120 to get the amperage you need.
