How many of you guys bid regularly on corals or have in the past? What are your overall experiences with ebay and any certain vendors/sellers?

I have bought from reef pets and was very happy...

Yeah, I have always kept my eye on his stuff as it is always really nice. So last night on my way home from LA to TN, my buddy was driving, and after being in the truck for 7 hours, I decided to start bidding on some of his stuff. I ended up winning 3 out 4 items at really decent prices.

If you have not had it shipped yet I would be interested in possibly splitting some of the shipping costs and adding to the order. Let me know?

I have twice now the first experience was horrible but they did not post pictures as WYSIWYG. The second time they were posted as WYSIWYG and they were incredible.

I have bought from ebay, online vendors, and people form this site around the country. I would say probably 20 shipments in all involving coral. I have only had 2 situations where I was unhappy with the transaction. One was a reputable vendor that is on this site and the other was an individual on this site. Both made it "somewhat" right. I can definitely say my best experiences have been with about 3 different sellers on here. They have awesome shipping methods. One of them in particular has replaced at least 3 different corals that died over a month after I bought them. He had a few other transactions where the pieces didn't make it so he sent me a PM to see if mine did. I told him it didn't and he sent me a shipment. So, I feel completely confident buying online, I guess you just got to take a little bit of a chance on first shots.

All 3 of these arrived this morning before their 10:30 delivery time from Ohio from Reef Pets. I was unfortunately not home, so my wife floated them and put them in my QT. She has sent pics to my phone, and they all look great. Very happy!

I have bought from Gary (reef pets) on there a couple of times and have always been very satisfied. I used to shop a lot there until I found this site and now I can usually find it here. Sometimes I still go to ebay and look around but the shipping is usually crazy there now.

$35 dollars for overnight, the trick is winning enough corals to make it worth it.

I recently purchased from austinaquaticsfarm on EBay. Smooth transaction and nice corals, although communication was lacking. I sent several PMs regarding Hold for Pickup at my local FedEx office. I never received an answer but the corals were shipped appropriately.

I had GREAT service at Pacific East Aquaculture. I got in on their buy one, get one sale right after Christmas. An echinata was DOA and they did not hesitate to make it right. Their "pieces of the reef" are fun. I got one with 7 different acans. I feed them twice a week and I see new babies every week.
