I would think any skimmer that is that cheap is made out of junk.

It sucks. Small. hard to adjust and my pump quit in 3 months.

I would invest your money in a quality skimmer rather than a no name brand.

Venturi skimmers are kind of old school. The newer pinwheel designs work well. Look for a seaside aquatics if you are just super cheap. But in the end a decent skimmer will go a long way. Buy it once and you won't have four or five cheapos that cracked when you where handling them for maintenance.

Piece of junk....don't buy it. I fell for this one and regret it. Cheaply made and no reliable way to control. However the powerhead is pretty powerful so i guess that was worth the purchase.[emoji1]

I almost. Purchase a Chinese no brand for $40 yesterday and decided to go with reef octopus because of good reviews of the brand, so the reef is junk? Sorry not familiar with saltwater equipment ;-)
