Ebay Seller Using MY Pic!

Happened to me not long ago. I contacted ebay and told them and I also told the seller they would have to pay me a jillion$ for each sale they made while using the photo. Ebay did close the auction and though there were about five sales made I am still dirt poor.
There is a form ebay has that you download, fill out and fax back to them. Took about 6 hours once I faxed it back for ebay to close the auction.
I first tried contacting the seller 3 times, the only respnse I got was 'prove it is your photo'. I did, but with ebay. I figured who are they to bother with?
Using your pic is an infringment on property rights and ebay takes it seriously.

never mind, I missed page twoi and see you already reported it. If you have the pic on your PC/disc/whatever I think it shows properties with date taken and all that. Should prove your pic.

Hey puffer...She said that you need to get a life....lol....I totally agree with you over the matter but I thought it was funny. If and that's a BIG IF they are the real deal...that is a good price....lol

THESE WERE BOUGHT ON EBAY AS PURPLE HORNETS THATS WHAT I KNOW THEM AS THATS WHAT THEY ARE TO ME AND THE PEOPL THAT SOLD THEM TO ME!!!
STOP HARRASSING ME AND DONT BUY THEM IF YOU DONT WANT THEM!!!!!

where did this last post come from??? this is pretty darn funny....not that she stole your pix is funny....just her get a life comment and the camera excuse. I think I've heard the mud puddle one before a few hundred times.

Another one is when they dont put a starting bid and you see the awesome coral for $9.99. You wait till the end of the auction and win it and then you read the fine print where it says "$50 minimum if auction does not reach this number it will be cancelled". I dont have a problem with that but then start the bid at $50.00! looool. :canny:

There is another seller on there that gets my blood boiling. All of his auctions say "Free Shipping" as part of the listing. But when you look at the body of the auction it states only if you purchase 6 auctions.

Now from an ebay standpoint it is against there TOS. They consider this search manipulation. From a buyer standpoint, that seller would have to send you that item for free. Since the auction is a binding contract and the seller claims its free

I have tried to get the auctions removed (sorry if you are a R2R member) But you tactics are wrong, and against eBay Rules.

I guess by her comment about the "thread," which Saltysteele quoted. She added that to her auction listing before this thread started, so I'm guessing she was referring to the RC version.

If that person is a member here, I would ban them for the copyright violation without ANY hesitation. (No this is not a threat, but a promise.)
 
I've also reported the auction. Ebay will do something about this, most likely. I've had a similar problem where someone used a pic of one of my clams, from my Flickr site. I sent Ebay a link to my FLickr picture. The seller was banned from Ebay.

If a person cant take a simple picture then how can they take care of a frag!? :waaaht:
