Hello guys, Im planning to have a Echidna Polyzona as a moray eel, Which is the basic care of this eel if needs special care compared to other eels? how big the tank must be? It can live with a Chestnut Eel which haves the same care as the Dwarf Eel or they are better in separated tanks? any suggested tankmates?

I dont have direct experience with this but I would think the 57g tank you are planning for him would be fine. Carefully choose any tank mates, because this is a fang tooth eel. Regardless of his size, nature is nature, and fish are on menu. Not knowing much of their care and not knowing anyone keeping them, they likely haven't faired well in captivity. I would plan to start with live food, feeding difficulties is many times the reason you don't see particular fish. Live ghosties and live mollies or guppies. It would be cool to keep the 2 little eels together but I would first access the aggressiveness of the chestnut.

The Chestnut Eel is also a fangtooth and is as aggresive, if not shier (they are one of the most shy eels), as a Dwarf Eel, both are 1 foot of length. In another words, it is are a sligthly more "twisted" looking, shier, and A LOT harder to find version of the Dwarf Eel with appearance of a Fang Tooth Eel coloured with a brown base and white spots near the jaw (luckily, I founded a shop that sells it)

Yeah that is a very cool looking eel. The golden dwarf is not aggressive at all. The dragon eel looks menacing but is also one of the most docile small fang tooths. But that is relative and I did see a dragon eel take down a show size blue tang. Ive seen dragon eels kept with other eels with no issue, if his little cousin follows suit, then that would be cool.

Yes, Is also from the exact same genus and is A LOT cheaper and smaller (If you are lucky enough to find one) but also A LOT harder to find
