EcoSmart Driver for Vortech pumps from Ecotech Marine

Looks like a nice upgrade. I wonder if this will allow the mp10w to sync with mp40w?

They(mp40w) are available in the Ecotech online parts store for $75 on sale now. They are normally $100 regular price.

So if I read some of the comments right you can upgrade a MP40w Gen2 to MP40w ES Upgrade Kit #MP169 for $75. Does that sound right?

Also did I read correctly that the new EcoSmart driver will work with the old MP40w, but will not have the new features?

this is what im wondering as well, if so seems like replacing them is more worth while

If it doesnt allow for the new features then replacing them for me would not be worth it. I am not sure this is the case, but I want to make sure.

I think the new modes are based on having two of the Ecodrives so I would think you would have to upgrade two at a time. Not sure though. I have (2) used MP40w gen2's so I would have to sink $150 for two to get benefits. That sound right?
