Hi Everyone,

I’m new to reefing and am interested to know what setting/s I should use on my x2 MP40s on my 4” 133 gallon tank for my fish and corals.

I’m currently only running nutrient export in the morning, reef crest for the day and a low % lagoon overnight (second in child mode anti-sync max 75%)

I think I need a bit more variety & maybe some higher highs and lower lows… I found this one in my research…

Should I try mimic this, or can you share your schedule?

Thanks in advance!!

I've always run mine on reefcrest during the day(anti sync), nutrient mode for 10 minutes after feeding, and lagoon at night for a "softer" sort of flow.

But I have 4 other PH's that are on alternating on/off for more chaotic flow. I only rely on the MP's for the "heavy lifting" of the flow.

That's a really impressive schedule! I may have to try and replicate it as well...
It is pretty impressive haha.

I do like the idea of the highs and lows for variety though-out the day as well as the low overnight for when they can take a bit of a rest

Yeah, interesting! I guess for now I only have the two and was looking at someway to jazz it up a little…

The big schedule I attached I might try setup. I haven’t had to take the MPs really that high before. Originally I had issues with the substrate moving at the long end (peninsula) even at 50%… figured that out now by mixing in some heavier elements and all seems to be sweet.

I have mine up high on the glass on opposing ends facing each other, so they crash into each other.

2 pp8's on the back glass on a custom schedule(on/off) through the apex, but pointed toward the front glass. Then I run 2 nero 3's way down low on a constant slow flow for some gentle flow over the sandbed(helps tremendously with cyano).

All this in an 80G cube. I have found with most of my PH's up high, I get very high chaotic flow up high where my SPS are, and slow gentle flow down low where the LPS are.
