Evening all,

Please tell me I have just messed something up somewhere and that they are able to connect to wifi? The bluetooth connection is useless, I almost have to get in the tank.

Thanks

There's no doubt that being Bluetooth-only is a weak point for Ecotech products. It's not a total deal breaker though, and while you may struggle with connectivity from time to time, it works decently well and it doesn't depend on Wifi or Internet to control in a pinch. It should have both, but unfortunately, they decided otherwise.

As mentioned above, the new MXM module for Apex does allow for remote access via Wi-Fi, however, it's not feature parity with Mobius yet. Products like the Versa are not yet supported among a few other items.

If you need remote access and don't want to buy the MXM or don't have an Apex, you can set up a tablet and remotely connect to it to use Mobius. Not a great solution, but it works.

I'm blown away that they don't offer wifi on it. I see that I can add a wifi router to their equipment...Of course for additional $$

I believe WiFi has been in beta testing for quite a while. Mobius has undergone a massive recoding so my hope is we see WiFi in the future

It's kind of silly that the G6 line doesn't offer it ,or the latest pumps. The least they could do is make an API so I can run it through my Hydros sytem but they aren't offering outside API's to my knowledge, so it's rendering it useless from a connection standpoint. I can control it through a wifi bar, but that only gives me scheduling, not control of the intensity etc. Its likely due to their internal profit structure and relying on the sale of the Reeflink. I was able to pick up my G6 Pro's for $400 Canadian, so I am not going to complain too much, just seems unethical from a company that is selling a device to make them wifi. Literally a chip with wifi/bluetooth instead of just bluetooth would be pennies...If I was buying new, I would be picking something with wifi
