Has anyone been able to make the new ecotech Live beta software to work?
I haven't. It keeps turning off my radions and require at hardware reset.
Looking for other experiences.

They're still developing the site. I wasn't able to do anything on the site on Tuesday, but last night it was up and running. You can choose the on and off times, lunar cycle, different lighting simulations, storms, etc. The one thing I noticed was that I was having a very hard time editing the control points. It says to click the point to edit it, but if you single click it will actually delete it, so double click the control points. I'm currently running the vibrant color setting and have a 10% chance of clouds at one point in the morning and then a 20% chance of thunderstorms in the early evening. I run a 13.5 hour schedule and my corals love it. I also have the new vortechs so when a storm rolls through, the radion communicates with the pumps and they simulate the storm surge as well. They're very impressive when they're in sync

I gotta be honest, my pair of Radions have been the source of much frustration. I just had one replaced due to a fan crapping out. Great customer experience. Had the replacement in 2 days. Went to sync it and just had nuttin but problems. First getting the 2 of them to read the same program is usually a crap shoot. Then getting them to actually look the same is another story. When they are shuttin down in the evening, one is much more green than the other. In fact, 1 has no green lights on at all vs. the other. Im about done with em, honestly.

Paul, do you have them set to the natural cycle? If so they go off the earths lunar cycle and will mimic the sunrise and sunset of the earth.

Will check that once i get home. But how would that make them visually different if they are synched and both "reading" the same program?

The radions will follow the trend of a sunrise/sunset so one fixture will begin to dim before the other as the earth rotates around the sun and this could be why one could still have green on towards the end of your cycle.

I had a incident with them too only had my light for about 2 or 3 months and already 2 lights with fan problems i love the light but for the money i spent i expected them to not have troubles this early and about your lights turning off by themselves try going to your settings and turning off local control i had mine on and they kept doing what ever they felt like it untill i turned off local control try that out hopefully that helps out

My first experience with them, was buying 2 lights at $750 ea.. Bringing them home, and realizing I cant program them with my MAC....

I have had numerous problems with the ecosmart live. I have never had it work and I do not know why. Called support several times. I recently purchased and received the radion pro's which required the ecosmartlive to program. Ran into many problems and could not get it to work. I must have factory reset the pro's over 10 times.

Luckily ecotech updated the installable computer software so that I did not have to use ecosmartlive to program the pros. I do not plan on using the ecosmartlive anytime soon especially while it is still in beta. I just had a bad experience with it, maybe it was just me.

Yea I have a mac too. I use parallels though which allows you to run windows programs. They should definitely create a mac version for the installable program I think.

so, I just got my radions, they are awesome and bright. but, how the heck do I get these things programmed and up and running?? im on a imac if that helps/hurts!
