Conscious I'm asking an impossible question here.... but.....

Does anyone have any experience / data points with running a Vectra S2 on the EcoTech Marine Battery Backup. Specifically how long the battery lasts for?

There's no way there's one answer to this question, since it all depends on how hard you're running the pump, the head height etc etc, but I'm wondering if there's anyone with any initial / rough / hands-on data points...

Clearly its "easier" to say how long the battery will power an MP 10 / 40 / 60, since the juice required to run one of these will be the same regardless of your tank, but return pumps will all be setup specific..... but it doesn't stop me from wondering...

I have had a number of power outages over the past few months - the last of which happened when I was away from home, so interested in some 'technical insurance', but wondering if it'll buy me minutes, hours or days of peace of mind...

Any insights more than appreciated!

When it comes to running off any kind of battery backup its the amount of Amps being drawn. I would look at what you are backing up and how many continuous AMPs are being used. If more than a couple AMPs, I would say its a matter of minutes

Thanks for the insights. Worried that this might be a case of "Just a few minutes" - which may mean that this just isn't worth the investment

Still wondering if anyone has any practical / real-world experiences. Clearly it'll be different for each tank, but a "It should be a few hours" data point would be really handy !
