I downloaded Mobius but it’s not showing me any devices when I’m trying to add my tank. I have a vectra M2 (March 11, 2020) MP40 (April 28, 2020) and 2 xr30 blues (April 22,2020) Is there something I’m doing wrong or is this not available yet?

Yes. Ecotech state in a recent video that only ones shipped after June 1st 2020 will work. Ours will work “soon”

I lucked out I guess. I just got my XR15’s in last week and mobius found them immediately when I set them up yesterday

You’re using Bluetooth not WiFi, correct?

The Radions if Gen5 should be detectable now. The other pumps will require a firmware update at some point soon to link them to Mobius. Their mfg dates indicate they already have the correct chip required for Mobius once the firmware is released. If Gen 4 Radions bought just before 5's came out i suspect they'll also be pending a firmware release from Ecotech but not 100% sure on those.

I'm in a similar situation as the OP: bought a Vectra M2 in early May 2020 and recently downloaded Mobius and it cannot any devices. Probably a stupid question, but how is a firmware pushed to the Vectra controller if it's not connected to the wifi, bluetooth, etc. Is there a wifi or bluetooth button, or similar, on the Vectra controller that I'm not seeing?

I believe you need a reeflink to update vortechs and Vectra pumps since they have no USB connections like the lights

Mobius is the New App for Ecotech products.

You will update your equipment via blutooth once that is enabled for legacy products. Mobius will eventually have this feature turned on for all. Still in beta Testing for legacy products

I have an update on Mobius. I bought a Vectra M2 a couple of months ago that was not Mobius enabled out of the package. I reached out to Ecotech yesterday through the tech support link in their website and a few hours later received a nice email response from a tech operator who said "Just this week, we began allowing randomly selected users the ability to firmware upgrade legacy VorTech/Vectras to Mobius. That said, I have given your Mobius account access to legacy VorTech/Vectra updates and you can follow along with the video link to perform an update." https://support.ecotechmarine.com/h...obius-Adding-Legacy-Firmware-Vectra-to-Mobius. Note that I had previously downloaded the Mobius app and created an account before I contacted Ecotech, so I guess he found my account and granted me access. Excellent customer service!

So I stood near my Vectra controller, turned off Bluetooth and put in airplane mode; took it out of airplane mode and activated Bluetooth; and went back to the Mobius app and, voila, it recognized my Vectra. From there, the app walks you through everything and you basically just let the firmware update run--about 10+/- minutes. Now I can control my Vectra completely through the app. It is Bluetooth, so you have to be near the controller--hopefully Ecotech will eventually allow home network/wifi access--but it beats manually accessing the controller, plus you can program for different functions throughout the day.

I will say that the app takes a little getting used to--and I need to play around with it more to really get comfortable with it--especially for a return pump, because there does not appear to be an "Apply" function/button, like for Red Sea products, where changes in programs are only engaged once you confirm. So when you are trying to see what the different functionalities are, I repeatedly and accidentally turned the flow down, which caused backflow/siphon into the sump, my ATO starting beeping, etc. A little annoying, but I'm sure it's operator error and I'll get more comfortable with time.

Not sure if others feel the same way but I would stay far away from mobius. I wont upgrade to g5 because of mobius. I had g4 on mobius and I couldnt stand it.

Just curious, but what was the reason that you couldn't stand it, I'm using ESL app and it seems to work fine for me, but as with most of us on here, I want to check out the newest thing.

I am curious to see how Mobius is. I get frustrated with ESM and reeflink. Reeflink is always dropping and needed power cycled to reconnect and the ESM app is plain crap and doesnt work half the time correctly for me. I always have to go to the desktop for things to program correctly.

I'm getting the "devices found" message too. Just corresponded with Echotech … been told only the one G5 I have will (and does … kind of) work and that it will be a couple more months before my G4 and vortech pumps (that say Mobious ready). I would have been willing to pay $43 for a chip to make the new G5 Reeflink compatible!

I just called and they added me also, only problem is that 2 out of the 5 MP40's I have need an upgraded Module, so now I still have to use the ReefLink for those two and buy the new Modules that cost $20 apiece.

I just thought it was a really crappy app. Pain in the butt to set schedules. It would have a hard time connecting to the light sometimes where I would have to disconnect the light from power. It just wasn't good. I'm so much happier going to the ecosmart website from a computer. Also I don't have to be within 15 feet of the light and can access it from anywhere. Also if you upgrade there is not integration with a wxm and apex. Just my 2 cents.

That makes sense. I use all EcoTech pumps, no radions so I do like to get the notifications to my phone if my vectra goes wonky. Thanks for the response.

Honestly just feel like in 2020 making a product go from access anywhere in the world to access within 15 feet is taking a huge step backwards. Clearly trying to lock things down where nothing else can be used besides ecotech software. Neptune even mentioned in a video that they could access but Ecotech won't give them the keys.
